Food Project 2015

Our mission is to provide poorer families with food so that they can survive.

Our mission is to provide poorer families with food so that they can survive, and the inspiration to start this project came from Mrs. Salima Ahmed (Food and Clothing Project Manager, B’ham, UK), who suggested that we also benefit people by giving them food. This is the most recent work we have done with the Food Project, and Alhamdulillah we were able to distribute food in the lead-up to Ramadaan 2015. The photos show our efforts to ensure that even the poor had a blessed time in this special month. In total 175 food packs were given out.

We also distributed food packs this year and documented it with a video:

Food Project 2013

Our mission is to provide poorer families with food so that they can survive.

Our inspiration to start this project came from Mrs. Salima Ahmed (Food and Clothing Project Manager), who suggested that we also benefit people by giving them food. We are very appreciative of this because without Mrs. Ahmed, we wouldn’t have been able to help so many people. It is not only us saying thank you, but it is also the villages of people who have benefited from the starting of this project. We send our prayers and duas to the Ahmed family and hope that you always remain happy.

We are happy to say that our Food Project started with the donation of  an amazing person who we are privileged to know, Dr. Muhammad Yusuf Qamar. Alhamdulillah, we have already started handing out food packs, so that people do not have to wait any longer than they need to for help. Our Food Project Opening Ceremony was held in Jamia Masjid Al-Habib in the first week of Ramadan 2013, and we even invited MPA Ejaz Shafi as our Chief Guest. Not only did he help hand out food packs, but he also raised the spirits of many people who came to collect their packs. We are very grateful that he could be at such an important milestone for our charity. Each food pack contains flour, rice, sugar, lentils and cooking oil. This means that each food pack costs a total of £10 to £15.
